GL450B
This machine is COOL!!! and I mean COOL. Almost out of the box with a minimum amount of tweeking,
this bird jumped right into the air. I have set up, repaired and reviewed many electric helis in my time ,but
for the ABSOLUTE BEST value for the price is the GL 450B. This 450 size chopper in terms of quality has a
carbon fibre main air frame, combined with anodized metal parts throughout. The landing skids are held by
hardened plastic legs which will handle most hard landings.
One major improvement could be the inclusion of
more detailed set up instructions. It is obvious that this machine is not really condusive for a beginner
however it's behaviour could easily be managed by an intermediate pilot if a docile (slower response) set
up has been selected. Unfortunately, the instructions do not really cater for the beginner.
The helicopter
arrives in a metal case, shrouded in moulded foam for ultimate protection . There is ample room the
helicopter, your own Tx, extra batteries and other stuff you may wish to carry if travelling.
Touch wood I
haven't had any mishaps with this helicopter as yet (its only new) and although it has been compared to
the Trex there many differences - too numerous to mention in this mini-review.
I have only had a chance to do
a few few flights, and therfore I havent trimmed out yet. Also we have had quite bad weather so I hope it
improves.
Remember the GL450B comes as a barebones chopper, however you also get a nice little motor and
esc.
Honestly, for the price....How can you say No!!!!! to this little bird??????. I highly recommend it to
any good intermediate pilots. This heli is as good as anything I have played with. It is extremely good value
for the price!!!
